Choose a real situation in which you needed to understand someone whose communication style differed from yours. Describe how you checked your understanding without stereotyping their culture or nationality.

Compare two versions of the story: one that only names a trait such as patience, and one that shows actions such as summarising a need and confirming a choice. The second gives you more concrete material for reflection without claiming abilities you do not have.
